Sloss Furnaces

Sloss Furnaces, located in downtown Birmingham, produced pig iron from 1882 to 1971. It is a National Historic Landmark. Now it is a museum and has a vibrant metal arts group, who demonstrate the methods of pouring and working pig iron.
